Overview
Fossil is the third main expansion of the Pokémon Trading Card Game, based on Pokémon Red, Blue, and Green, and it focuses on Fossil Pokémon alongside other Generation I Pokémon. This expansion was the last to use the Galaxy Star Holofoil pattern, which was later replaced by the cosmos pattern in the Base 2 release. Notably, some cosmos holographic cards have been observed. Non-holographic cards from red logo packs in this set are distinguishable by a 1999-2000 copyright and different card stock.
